Today, we pause to observe Veterans Day, a national opportunity to honor and thank all the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This day is dedicated to recognizing their selfless commitment, immense sacrifices, and unwavering defense of our freedoms. We owe them a debt of gratitude that we can never truly repay.

The spirit of service is strong within our own community, and we are incredibly proud that several members of our dedicated staff are U.S. military veterans. These individuals bring invaluable experience, leadership, and discipline to our school every single day.

Please join us in recognizing and thanking the following faculty and staff members for their service:

Mr. Bishop
Mr. Drinnon
Mr. Gallina
Mr. John Good
Mr. La Voie
Major Sessis
First Sergeant Wilcox

Gentlemen, your time in uniform is a profound example of dedication, and we are privileged to have you as mentors and educators.

Big congratulations to Josh Armentrout — named 2026 Teacher of the Year at Daniel Boone High School! Born and raised on a family farm in Washington County, TN, Josh returned to teach at his alma mater after earning degrees in Wildlife & Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Education, and an Ed.S. He’s married to his high-school sweetheart, Heather, and they have three sons: Oakes, Brooks, and Hayes. Mr. Armentrout loves farming, hunting, fishing, sports, and family time, and he serves on several community boards. We’re proud of his dedication to teaching agriculture, practical life skills, and helping students grow as individuals and leaders through FFA.
