Daniel Boone High School Concert Band and Daniel Boone Middle School 7th/8th Grade Advanced Band both earned STRAIGHT SUPERIORS from all judges at the TSSBDA Concert Festival today! 🏆✨

This was the high school’s first festival in a long time, and the middle school’s first time ever — what an AMAZING debut for both groups. We are so proud of these students and their dedication. What a memorable Knoxville trip! ❤️🎶

On Wednesday we inducted 88 amazing students into Beta Club — an honors society dedicated to academic achievement, character, leadership, and service. These new members are ready to lead, learn, and serve.

Congrats to our seniors! 🎉 On April 16, TCAT and Northeast State held Signing Day — proud to celebrate a couple of our students as they take the next step.

On April 7th, 15 of Mrs. Royston's AP Calculus and AP Precalculus students attended the TMTA Math Contest at Northeast State. In the Calculus division, Lucas Williams placed 3rd, and Atticus Francisco placed 8th. Congratulations Atticus and Lucas!

Hooked by a real-life reminder: Last Friday our seniors experienced the Prom Promise at the Appalachian Fairgrounds — local ER teams staged realistic scenes showing what can happen after risky prom-night choices. Emotional, unforgettable, and a strong call to choose safety. 🎓✨🚑

How proud are we of our students who competed at the Envirothon last week? 🌿👏 They brought curiosity, teamwork, and real-world problem solving to every challenge — from soil science to ecosystem management.

Congratulations to DBHS Junior Student-Artist, Mackenzie Zeigler, for winning "Honorable Mention" in the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for Tennessee's First District held on Friday, April 10th at Northeast State Community College. Mackenzie's pastel drawing on sandpaper entitled "Blue Emily" was one of many DBHS art students' entries that were displayed last week. So proud of all of our talented DBHS student-artists; way to go Mackenzie!

Have you ever wondered how smartphones and screens are reshaping childhood? For the past couple of weeks, a group of teachers from our school has been meeting after school for a book study of Jonathan Haidt’s New York Times bestseller, The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness.

Big shoutout to our Lady Blazers Basketball Team! 🏀🎉 They were honored at the April school board meeting for an incredible season and for earning a spot in the state tournament. We’re so proud of their hard work, teamwork, and dedication.

Please join us in congratulating Karen Norton and Ginger Luya for being granted tenure at this past April’s school board meeting! After completing a five-year probationary period and receiving evaluations of “above/significantly above expectation” in the final two years, they’ve earned this well-deserved milestone. Their commitment to students and excellence in teaching makes our school stronger #TEAM

Daniel Boone High School HOSA, Future Health Professionals are hosting a Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, April 25 in the Daniel Boone High School gymnasium.
