Washington County Schools invites students to participate in the district’s SY26 Christmas Card Design Contest! The winning design will be featured as the official Washington County Schools Christmas card for December 2025, with full credit given to the artist. The creator of the selected design will also receive a $50 Walmart gift card.
Submission Deadline:
November 4, 2025
Only one submission per student
Design Requirements:
- Must be in landscape format
- Must fit or be scalable to 5x7 inches
How to Submit:
- All student art submissions must be turned in to their school's art teacher.
- Students will obtain further information from their art teacher.

Parent Awareness: Social Media Trends
Social media continues to grow in popularity, and with more time spent online, our teenagers are the most impacted. Platforms like TikTok are known for short videos and viral “challenges.” While some challenges may seem entertaining, others pose serious risks to young people.
🚨 Current TikTok Challenges to Be Aware Of:
Benadryl Challenge – taking several pills to experience a high (risk: overdose)
Outlet Challenge – placing a charger partially in an outlet to create sparks (risk: electrocution or fire)
Dusting Challenge – inhaling substances like cleaning spray for a high (risk: overdose)
👨👩👧👦 What Parents Can Do:
Monitor and limit access to social media and harmful items.
Talk with your child about the dangers of these challenges.
Model healthy decision-making skills.
Reach out to local supports if you have questions or concerns.
Together, we can help keep our students safe and encourage healthy, positive use of technology.
