Ridgeview Elementary K-2 students received a special surprise on their first day back to school after recent snowstorms in our area. Local author Audrey Anderson (Talcott) visited classrooms and shared one of her books, Ted Teaches Patience with Piper the Puppy and did a lesson on mindfulness. She and Ted taught the students about demonstrating patience in tough situations and calming their emotions through breathing exercises.
