Washington County Schools’ Family Resource Center (FRC) is excited to introduce our new Resource Ride! This new addition lets us bring resources directly to our communities, helping remove transportation barriers and making it easier for families to access the support they need.
The Resource Ride will help connect students and families with food, school supplies, hygiene items, and other community resources right where they are.

We recently partnered with United Way and ECU for their Stuff the Bus event, helping stock our new mobile resource center with supplies for Washington County students and families. This partnership marked the first of many community events we look forward to participating in with the Resource Ride.

Ridgeview Elementary K-2 students received a special surprise on their first day back to school after recent snowstorms in our area. Local author Audrey Anderson (Talcott) visited classrooms and shared one of her books, Ted Teaches Patience with Piper the Puppy and did a lesson on mindfulness. She and Ted taught the students about demonstrating patience in tough situations and calming their emotions through breathing exercises. More information about the author can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/B0CX78LDXP/about?ccs_id=b1efa308-d689-412e-9bb8-449e3be8279d
