Welcome to the Gamecock family, Haley!
Haley Barkley is excited to join Sulphur Springs Elementary School as Assistant Principal, bringing more than a decade of experience in education and a strong commitment to supporting students, teachers, and families.
Barkley began her career with Washington County Schools before joining Greeneville City Schools in 2021, where she served in instructional and leadership roles at both the middle and high school levels. Most recently, she served as Testing Coordinator and teacher at Greeneville High School. Her leadership experience also includes serving as a team and content leader and participating in the Tennessee Department of Education Principal Pipeline and Greeneville City Schools Aspiring Administrator Cohort.
Returning to Sulphur Springs is especially meaningful to Barkley. She grew up in the community, attended Sulphur Springs as a student, and continues to call the area home. She is grateful for the opportunity to return to Washington County Schools and serve the community that played an important role in her own education.
Barkley believes strong schools are built through relationships, high expectations, and collaboration. She looks forward to supporting staff, building relationships with students and families, and working alongside the Sulphur Springs community to help every student succeed.
