Dear Middle School (6-8th) Parents/Guardians,

As TCAP approaches, please review these important reminders:

Chromebooks & Chargers: All students in grades 6-8 were issued a WCDE Chromebook and charger. We must verify that each student has both items prior to testing.

Responsibility: Parents/guardians signed a WCDE technology contract and are responsible for any lost or damaged items. Please contact Mrs. Yarber ASAP so an invoice can be issued. Replacement chargers will only be provided once payment is received.

Keep at School: Starting this week, students must leave their Chromebooks at school until TCAP testing concludes. This ensures devices are fully charged and ready each day.

Chromebook Updates: Please have students update their Chromebooks before Thursday, April 10th to avoid slow performance issues during testing.

How to Update a Chromebook:

1. Click the clock  (bottom right corner).

2. Click the settings gear .

3. Scroll down and select About Chrome OS.

4. Click Check for Updates (usually in blue).

5. After updates install, click Restart.
