We are excited to invite you to Family PE Week! While it’s officially recognized the first week of October, this celebration can take place any time during the year. The goal is simple but powerful: to help families, schools, and communities understand the importance of physical education and staying active together.
Active Schools has partnered with OPEN to provide teachers and schools with resources to make this week a success, and we’re thrilled that Lamar will be participating! Family PE Week is all about promoting physical activity as a family and highlighting its many benefits—not just for students, but for everyone. Regular physical activity helps improve focus, boost energy, reduce stress, and support overall well-being.
This year, we’re hosting “Bring Your Parent to PE Week.” Parents are invited to attend one or both of their child’s scheduled PE classes to see firsthand what Physical Education looks like at Lamar. You’ll also get to join in on fun, interactive activities with your child.
We hope this experience shows just how enjoyable and meaningful it can be to stay active as a family. Your participation and support make a big difference in promoting the value of physical education in our school.
Fill out the form below to let us know if you will be attending Bring your Parent to PE week! Parents please sign in at the office a few minutes before your students scheduled PE time!
