After meeting with multiple advisory groups, we would like to name January as Pioneer Suicide Prevention Month to help others recognize the early warning signs and respond appropriately.
We will be partnering with Ballad Health and the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN) to offer a Suicide Prevention Program to anyone in our community who would like to attend. Heatherly Sifford, Trauma Injury Prevention Program Coordinator for Johnson City Medical Center and Ballad Health Trauma Services, will be leading the program in our theater. Please see the dates and
times below:
Parents - Thursday, January 8th at 6:00 PM - Theater
Community (All are welcome.) - Saturday, January 10th at 5:00 PM - Theater
Students will attend during one of their third-period classes starting January 12th.
Please see the letter linked here (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZaF6BWpiARFWBweMQuzjBbmiQoRZiSkH/view?usp=sharing) regarding suicide prevention training opportunities for parents, students, and the community this month.
