The Daniel Boone High School Administration Team announced today that Evie Livotte has been named a Commended Student in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which administers the program, will be presented by the principal to this scholastically talented senior.

Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not advance to the next phase of the 2027 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students rank among the top 50,000 students who participated in the 2027 competition by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

"Those named as Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success," stated a spokesperson for the NMSC. "These students represent a valuable national resource. Their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, are vital to advancing educational excellence in our nation. We hope this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success."
