On Friday, May 1, 2026 Ridgeview Raptor Track & Field athletes dominated the competition at Cherokee High School in Rogersville, Tennessee, setting records and moving up to State level competition set for May 18, 2026 at Tom Black Track on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville! Details of their accomplishments are as follows:
Girls
⭐ 2026 SECTIONAL CHAMPIONS!
Isabella Ashby placed 3rd in the 200m Dash with a time of 29.20 seconds. She received a medal and set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD.
Reagan Gillespie placed 1st in the 800m run with a time of 2:28.81. She received a medal, set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD, and will advance to the State Meet.
Ava Taylor placed 4th in the 1600m run with a time of 6:13.55.
The girls 4x2 Relay Team (Aubrie Carty, Aria Masters, Ella McKibbens, and Isabella Ashby) placed 2nd with a time of 2:02.76. They received medals and will advance to the State Meet.
The girls 4x4 Relay Team (Layla Bacon, Aria Masters, Isabella Ashby, and Reagan Gillespie) placed 3rd with a time of 4:49.41. They each received medals.
The girls 4x8 Relay Team (Aria Masters, Shiloh Jackson, Layla Bacon, and Reagan Gillespie) placed 1st with a time of 11:57.38. They each received medals and will advance to the State Meet.
Kinley Boyd placed 2nd in Discus with a throw of 79'. She received a medal and will advance to the State Meet.
Gracie Bryant placed 3rd in Shot Put with a throw of 30' 9.5". She received a medal.
Emilee Slagle, Peyton Howard, and Caroline Hammerbacher will advance to the State Meet as relay alternates!
Boys

Oliver Hilton placed 1st in the 400m Dash with a time of 55.61 seconds. He received a medal, set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD, and will advance to the State Meet.
Easton Hensley placed 1st in the 1600m Run with a time of 5:12.96. He received a medal and will advance to the State Meet.
Griffin Gingrich placed 2nd in the 1600m Run with a time of 5:13.70. He received a medal and will advance to the State Meet.
Sawyer Goodall placed 3rd in the 1600m Run with a time of 5:47.36. He received a medal.
The boys 4x2 Relay Team (Callen Wesley, Oliver Hilton, Easton Hensley, and Quillan Briscoe) placed 1st with a time of 1:43.73. They each received a medal, set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD, and will advance to the State Meet.
The boys 4x4 Relay Team (Griffin Gingrich, Quillan Briscoe, Oliver Hilton, and Easton Hensley) placed 1st with a time of 4:03.29. They each received a medal and will advance to the State Meet.
The boys 4x8 Relay Team (Griffin Gingrich, Andrew Hylton, Tripp Davis, and Gavin Wade) placed 1st with a time of 10:28.15. They each received a medal and will advance to the State Meet.
Hank Garner placed 1st in Discus with a throw of 122' 1". He received a medal and will advance to the State Meet.
Sawyer Goodall, Cooper Easler, and Noah Easler will advance to the State Meet as relay alternates!
