What happens if my child's book is damaged during his/her checkout?
Posted by:
A book is damaged if it cannot be returned to the shelf for several reasons. Books that have liquid damage ( juice, water or milk, etc.) or physical damage (torn spine, torn pages, torn cover, coloring or writing on pages, scissor damage, pet chews, etc.) are some of the reasons books cannot be returned to the collection. At this point, the damaged book must be paid for by the guardians or parents of the student. Checkout privileges are withheld until payment is received.
