  • Thanks for taking a moment to visit my page! The 2018-19 school year will be my 13th year at JMS. Time really does fly when you're having fun!

    A little about me:

I grew up in the area around Bristol & Blountville, TN and have always had the privilege of calling East Tennessee my home. I am married and we have 2 fur-babies named Scout and Dixie. My hobbies include cooking, traveling, learning to sew, studying the Bible and spending time with my friends & family. Middle school can be a very trying time in a young person's life - it certainly was in mine! This time helped prepare me for the triumphs and trials my students experience. I remember the nerves, anxiety, friendship heartaches and academic struggles. I ALSO remember a loving school community that invested in my success and how wonderful that felt. My hope is that I can be a cheerleader for students in the same way. In addition to being the school counselor, I am also a co-sponsor of EPIC Student Council.

    My Education:

*Bachelor of Science (2004) in Human Development & Learning with minors in Psychology and Communicative Disorders (East Tennessee State University)

*Masters in Counseling (2006) with a concentration in School Counseling grades K-12 (East Tennessee State University)

*Education Specialist (2018) with a concentration in Counselor Leadership (East Tennessee State University)
