Washington County does not maintain a central Athletics Department with a director. Each school is responsible for their own sports program. Below you will find links to each school's sports website.
High School Sports
ATTENTION HOME SCHOOL ATHLETES who wish to participate in any Washington County high school sport. Jeana Money at the WCDE Central Office has paperwork that must be completed by the home school athlete/guardian. After Mr. Murphy's office reopens in mid-July, home school students can see Dee Lewis at Midway for the paperwork. Approval is required by August 1st!
Both high schools participate in interscholastic sports; Daniel Boone and David Crockett compete in a comprehensive schedule governed by TSSAA regulations.
Baseball, basketball, football, track, soccer, and wrestling are offered as competitive sports for boys. Girls may compete in basketball, soccer, softball, track, and volleyball. Tournaments and playoffs are held in most sports at the end of each season to determine sectional and state winners.
Facilities include gymnasiums which seat approximately 2,500 people and football stadiums which accommodate around 4,000 people. Lighting is available for night baseball and softball games at Daniel Boone and David Crockett. There are rubberized tracks at these schools.
