Hello 2nd graders! I live here in Johnson City and have for over 20 years. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from East Tennessee State University. I also graduated from ETSU with a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences and a minor in Early Childhood Development.
This is my 17th year teaching. I spent 11 years at West View Elementary, and this will be my sixth year at Boones Creek. I really love my Creek family! I was a reading interventionist for Kindergarten through 4th grade for six years. I also taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, & 3rd grade for one year. I have now taught 2nd grade for 7 years. 2nd grade is by far my favorite age group! :) I really enjoy working with young children. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I enjoy seeing the kiddos grow and flourish each year. I feel very blessed doing what I love!
