    Mrs.Murr's Class

Welcome to Mrs.Murr's web page! I have been teaching in the field of special education for 34 years. My career started in Virginia before moving to Tennessee.  I have both my bachelor and masters degrees in special education. While teaching at Lamar,  I have coached the girls and boys track team periodically over the years, along with sponsoring the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club.  My husband Bill is a teacher at Liberty Bell Middle School where he teaches 7th grade math. Our daughter Lauren is a teacher at David Crockett High School where she teaches Chemistry I and II along with coaching Cross Country. She recently got married this past year to Coach Hayden Chandley who is the head football coach there at David Crockett.

As a family, we share a common interest for young people and their involvement in school. It has been our desire to see our students reach their full potential and become productive citizens in their community.

I love teaching and working with not only children with special needs but their families as well.  It's definitely been my calling in life.  I also enjoy mentoring general education students who have an interest in working with special needs children.
