Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

FCA is a student-led group that studies Bible lessons to help encourage
students in their daily lives. This group meets every Friday before school in the music room
at 7:45 am.

Girls on the Run (GOTR)
Sponsor – Kathy Stayer
Fee- $40-$175, but girls who cannot afford this team can qualify for a scholarship through the program.
Girls on the Run is an after school, self-esteem boosting program for young
girls grades 3-5. The girls build friendship and self respect through mini lessons
and running. Students will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 pm during Semester 1.

All 4th grade students will participate in collecting recycle bins throughout the school.

The 4-H program helps young people develop the life skills needed to become capable,
responsible, and caring citizens. Through the 4-H clubs, special interest groups,
after-school programs, camp and many other activities, 4-H'ers have fun, make
lasting friendships, enjoy "hands-on" learning experiences and get involved in
their communities.

Builders Club

Lamar Builders Club
Sponsers-Mrs. Schmidt and Mrs. Greenwell
The Lamar Builders Club is a youth service leadership program for 7th and 8th graders that is sponsored by the Jonesborough Kiwanis Club. They are the largest service organization for middle schoolers with more than 45,000 members worldwide. Club members value character, inclusiveness, and caring. Since Builders Club teaches leadership skills through service, students plan and take part in service projects throughout the year. Past projects have included selling stuffed animals in order to buy Christmas presents for needy Lamar students and visiting nursing homes to deliver cards and gifts. Club members have also helped the Kiwanis Club with Jonesborough Christmas activities and fundraising dinners. Membership costs are $5 per student. Meetings are held in Mrs. Schmidt's classroom on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Please see Mrs. Schmidt or Ms. Greenwell if you are interested! Boys on Bikes

Boys on Bikes is a 6-8 week program that will allow boys in grades 3rd-6th to learn more about bicycles, bike safety, and a chance to be active after school!Boys will ride around the Lamar Campus each day with Coach Clawson.We will learn a variety of things associated with bikes (hand signals, bicycle maintenance, key concepts of safe riding, bicycle anatomy, etc.) all while building mileage on our bikes!-Coach Clawson
LEGO Club

LEGO Club is an afterschool club for students in grades 4-8th grade. In this club, students will learn how to design and build different models along with working with other students in creating an awesome creation.

Music Club is an afterschool club for students who want to expand their musical knowledge. In this club, students will learn how to sing, play instruments and create their own songs. This is a perfect opportunity for students who want to do additional musical work outside of the classroom.
