    Dear Parents, Staff, Students, and Stakeholders,

    I want to warmly welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year.  I am looking forward to working with the dedicated staff to provide the best possible educational program for our students.

    Jonesborough Middle School enjoys a rich history of academic and cultural excellence that is a direct result of the partnership between the school staff and parents who provide a diversity of experiences for the students. I have lived in the Town of Jonesborough all my life and attended David Crockett High School. I graduated from Tusculum College with my Bachelors of Arts degree in K-8 Education and received both my Master’s degree and ED.S degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.  

    Parents, teachers, support staff, community and administration all have important roles to encourage our children to become active, life-long learners. It is my sincere desire to provide expanded opportunities for our students to acquire the skills to become productive citizens in our vastly changing society. Through a close and collegial partnership with everyone associated with Jonesborough Middle School, I am confident we can make our school a better place for our students to learn and grow. At JMS we are “Roaring into the Future”.

    Heather Easterling

    My name is Heather Easterling. I am a 2001 Sullivan South High School graduate. I went on to ETSU and earned my Bachelors degree in English Education. I have since earned my Masters in Administration, and my Ed.S thru Union College. I plan to pursue my Doctorate in a few years. My husband Jason and I have three awesome kids. Kaiden is 11, and will start middle school this fall. He is very active in basketball and baseball. Lukas is 9 and will be in the 4th grade. He also, is an avid basketball and baseball player. Molly is 6 and will be starting 1st grade. She is the boss, and my firecracker. She keeps us on our toes. Together, we love to camp, play sports, and travel.  I am very excited to be joining the staff at Jonesborough Middle School.
