• For the protection of Washington County School’s wireless network, and further, to maintain alignment with the agreement we have with our ISP regarding online safety for children, parents & students must follow and agree to these terms.

    -          Devices belonging to private individuals intended for use in a Washington County School must be Chromebooks;

    -          These devices must run the Chrome OS operating system;

    -          Parents should be made to understand that certain firmware information from those Chromebooks will have to be made available to the school in order for the devices to operate with Washington County School’s wireless network;

    -          Parents should be made to understand that Washington County Schools will run a factory reset  on these Chromebooks that will erase all files and information;

    -          Washington County Schools will load, at no charge to the student, a Chrome Management License that will allow Washington County Schools to monitor and control all usage of the entire device;

    -          When the device is used at home, Washington County Schools will still be able to monitor use but will have limited filtering control.  Users will be able to access websites at home that were unavailable at school.

    -          At such time as the student determines they will no longer use the Chromebook device at school, Washington County Schools will run a Deprovision utility, thereby removing the Chrome Management License and essentially performing another factory re-set;

    -          Parents and users should be made to understand that we will be monitoring all online activities while they are connected to Washington County School’s wireless network;

    -          As with any other personal electronic device, neither the school nor the school system assumes any responsibility for damaged, lost or stolen Chromebooks;

    -          These terms and conditions are subject to change with minimal notice.
