Hello! My name is Mrs. Carver and I am thrilled to be your child's special education teacher this year. I have a true passion for education and a strong commitment to nurturing young minds. With 15 years of experience in teaching, I have had the pleasure of working with students from diverse backgrounds and witnessing their incredible growth.
I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and Johnson City, TN where my love for learning and teaching first blossomed. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Carson-Newman, I knew that becoming an educator was my calling. In 2021, I graduated with my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Union College to further enhance my teaching skills and better meet the needs of my students. I love learning so much that I began working on my Ed.S. in Educational Leadership at Lipscomb University and just graduated in the Spring of 2023.
In my classroom, I believe in creating a warm and inviting space where every student feels valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential. I strive to incorporate innovative and engaging teaching methods to make learning a joyful and meaningful experience. My goal is not only to share knowledge, but also to instill a love for lifelong learning in each student.
When I am not in the classroom, you can find me at the pool or the lake, reading a good book, or watching the TN Vols play football. I also enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring new places. I am also a firm believer in the power of creativity, and I love finding ways to integrate arts and hands-on activities into our lessons.
I am genuinely excited to begin this learning journey with your child and to partner with you in their academic and personal growth. Together, let's make this a year of exploration, discovery, and meaningful achievements! If you have any questions or would like to connect, please feel free to reach out - my email is carvere@wcde.org. Here's to a fantastic and enriching school year ahead!
