    Dear Parents,

Hi! I hope you had a great Spring Break and got relax and maybe take a walk on some of these beautiful spring days. I wanted to let you know that I have added more assignments to Splash Math and I have set your child up with a username and password for Benchmark Literacy. This is our reading curriculum and through this you can find leveled readers that your child can read to you. You will find the link to Benchmark Universe on the left hand side of this page. Once you click on that link, I have included directions for how to log on and get to your child's reading assignments and library. I look forward to seeing your child's progress! I also wanted to let you know that the second round of district packets won't be available for pickup until next week. We will have Special Gift Bags that you can pick up this Tuesday, April 7 or Thursday, April 9 at Sulphur Springs from 9:00-12:00. In these packets you will be getting letters from your child's teachers and administration as well as gift and fun activities in these bags. I will be at the school helping pass out the Gift bag and food tomorrow and look forward to seeing you! Please give your child a big hug from me and tell them that I miss them and say hi! I appreciate all that you are doing for your child during this time. They are so lucky to have parents like you!

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Schweiker

    Spring Time!

    Dear Parents and Students,

Hi! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and have been enjoying this beautiful weather we have been having. This week is our Spring Break! I hope you get to relax and enjoy it! If you want to check out the Websites or our music (Melinda Ryhne), P.E. (Brandon Qualls/Jill Fox) and art teacher (Spicey Pate), I know they have some fun things to do on their websites. Next week I will be sending you emails with a username and password for leveled readers for your child. These readers can be accessed online either with a computer or tablet and will provide you with books that are on your child's reading level that go with our districts reading curriculum. I will provide you with more information on this next week. We are also working on a new set of learning packets that will be ready for pick-up on April 7th from 9:00-12:00. These packets will have math, reading, phonics, and emergent readers in them. I do appreciate each and every one of you and the work you have been having your child do! If you have any questions, please email me at schweikerr@wcde.org. Please tell your child that I miss them and am sending a big hug their way! Hope you have a wonderful Spring Break!

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Schweiker

    Dear Parents,

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! I have missed seeing your child each day. Could you please let them know I said hi? I have some more resources for you to use with your child. One is the classroom resource page with links to sites your child uses in the classroom. I will be emailing you your child's username and password to these sites. One email will be coming directly from Splash Learn which your child knows as Splash Math. They absoluteley love this site! I have also created a class site for ReadWorks.org. I will email you the login information for this as well. ReadWorks is a wonderful site where you can pick books that interest your child and then do activities afterwards. I am using this with my own children who are 9 and 14. It can be used for all ages. I have also included a link to virtual field trips you could take with your child. If you find one you are interested in, just click on the hyperlink. We are continuing to get the learning packets together and I will let you know when they are ready for pick up. If you need anything please don't hesitate to email me at schweikerr@wcde.org.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Schweiker

  • Dear Parents,

During this time of school closure, we are working to continue our learning by giving you access to things that can be worked on from home. At the left of my home page, you can find different links you can click on to find different activities to do with your child until we return to school. This information will be updated periodically. Please read with your child for 20 minutes every day. Please have them practice reading books to you or even go on word hunts in the story. You can have them write the title of the book and then write the red words they found within the story. You can turn them into me when we get back for a special treat! Please check the website frequently for more updates and activities! If you need to contact me please email me at schweikerr@wcde.org.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Schweiker
