Mr. Mike Edmonds

This is my 36th year working in the Washington County School System.  My first six years were spent teaching grades 3-5 at Boones Creek Elementary followed by 17 years teaching 5th grade at Boones Creek Middle School.  My next 12 years were spent in administration at Gray, South Central, and Boones Creek Middle.  I have returned to teaching in the classroom and I am excited to once again be teaching science classes.  I am teaching all 7th and 8th grade science classes at Lamar.

Science has always been my love in teaching.  I worked several years as an environmental educator during the summers at Cedar Creek Learning Center and a few at the Clyde Austin 4-H Center.  I also taught summer science programs for Washington County Students for several years.

I am married to my wife Cindy and we live in the Boones Creek Community.  I have one daughter and two grandchildren.  We are members of Boones Creek Christian Church.  Cindy and I enjoy going to watch our favorite sports team play basketball - The Lady Vols!  I am a 1976 graduate of Daniel Boone High School.  I earned my B.S. degree and Master of Education degree in Elementary Education from East Tennessee State University.  I earned my Education Specialist degree in School Administration from Lincoln Memorial University.  I enjoy traveling and trout fishing.
