This is our LAST WEEK of school. That means your 5th grade year is coming to an end-cue the tears! What?! Already?! I am beyond proud of you guys-truly. You've conquered an experience that no other students before you have endured. You should be so very proud of yourselves. I sure am.
(ALL your assignments are listed under ELA for this week.)
May 11th Updates:
To put things in perspective, we only have ONE more Monday to endure of this 19/20 school year. To be honest, I'm pretty sad about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for warm weather and summer, but this year has not ended the way I imagined or expected. I miss you guys and just hate we didn't get to do all the fun end-of-the-year activities together. However, virtual field day is next week along with virtual field trips-BE READY!
Zoom meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, at 2. Link wlll be sent in an email.
Also, check your email for updates (and see link below) regarding report card and personal belongings pickup. I know my homeroom took most of their personal belongings home regarding jackets, water bottles, etc., but we have all your portfolios, books, and workbooks bagged up and ready to go.
Enjoy the warm weather coming this week!!!!
Chromebook Checkout Update
If your child does not have a device to use at home during this closure and your home has Wi-Fi/internet connection, please contact Cindy Hayes-Principal by email if you would like to request that a Chromebook be “checked-out” to your child. An appointment time can be arranged to come to your child’s school to check-out a Chromebook and keep it at home until normal school operation is resumed this school year or until the last week of May 2020.
There are 3 key criteria for the Chromebook check-out: (1) your home currently has WIFI/internet connectivity; (2) the student does not have any usable device (3) the parents/guardians agree to Washington County Department of Education Coronavirus Closure Chromebook Contract taking financial responsibility for the Chromebook in the event there is a need to repair/replace the device due to any damage while the device is "on loan" or checked-out.
Updated information will continue to be provided on the school website and the webpage of your child’s teacher. You can also receive information from the district website (www.wcde.org).
Please continue to stay safe and healthy!
