    Congratulations AGAIN to our Lady Pioneer softball team for their 10-3 win over Sullivan East yesterday.  They now are 23-4 on the season.  Softball will play Science Hill here today!  Come out and show your support!

     

    OUR BASEBALL TEAM BEAT BOOONE yesterday, 2-1!  Way to go!  They will travel to Booone today to play.  Good luck to both teams!

     

    EOC Benchmark testing begins tomorrow.  Virtual students currently enrolled in English 9 or 10 will report tomorrow for testing.  Buses will run on Wednesdays for virtual students reporting to take EOC tests.  In person students will take English 9 and 10, subpart 1 on Thursday.  We will NOT have 3rd period on Thursday as this part of the test is 85 minutes long.  Friday will be English 9 and 10, subpart 2, lasting 50 minutes.  We will be on a regular bell schedule on Friday.

     

    Second Harvest Food Bank will be holding a Summer Box Food Drive Distribution on Thursday, May 6th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Asbury Family Resource Center.  See our website for a link to register.  If you need assistance, please contact Coordinated School Health at 434-4920.

     

    Students interested in possibly working at Wetlands this summer can see Mr. Hale in K-2 for an application.  They will only be given out during 3rd period or between classes.  Applications will be collected by Mr. Hale through April 29th.  Captain D’s, TJ Maxx, and Arby’s are also looking for employees. 

     

    A representative from Johnson City Rugby will be at the school again during lunch on Friday, April 30th.

     

    Students need to remember to bring their chromebooks and chargers daily. The library will only be checking out loaners, for emergency situations, prior to the 745 bell or at teacher request. Loaners will no longer be checked out throughout the day. 

     

    Coach Chandley would like to invite anyone interested to attend FCA every Tuesday morning at 7:15 a.m. in the weight room.

     

    Please remember to follow the dress code for the remainder of this school year. Teachers should look for violators and send them to the office if they are not in compliance.

     

    We have less than 15 yearbooks left! If you would like one please bring $65 to Mrs. Cheney ASAP so you don’t miss out! 

     

    If you are hoping to be considered for yearbook class for next year you MUST fill out an application and have 2 teacher recommendations. Please see Mrs. Cheney or your guidance counselor if you need that form. 

     

    SENIORS:  You have been sent a form concerning graduation.  Please accurately and completely fill out that form ASAP.  This is where you request guest tickets for the ceremony.  Seating will be by ticket ONLY, up to 4 per graduate.  Seating for guests with limited mobility can also be requested on this form.  If you know seniors who are virtual or were December exits, please make them aware of this form.

     

    Prom tickets are $50 this week.  Tickets are sold at the bookstore during all four lunches.  Proper identification (school id, driver’s license, etc.) must be shown to purchase. Virtual Seniors & Early Graduates may only purchase from 1:30-2:15 PM daily in the front entrance of the school.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Harris in F-3. 

     

    Seniors:  Remember, you MUST have a cap and gown and diploma cover to participate and walk across the stage for graduation!  The current cost for your minimum graduation packet with late fees is $66.23.

     

    STUDENTS:  REMEMBER THE SPEED LIMIT ON CAMPUS IS 10 MPH!    IF REPORTED FOR SPEEDING ON CAMPUS, YOUR PARKING PERMIT AND DRIVING PRIVILEGES ON SCHOOL PROPERTY MAY BE SUSPENDED.

     

    STUDENTS:  If you are going home on a different bus or getting off your bus at a different spot, you must bring the office a note stating what you are doing and your parent or guardian has to call the office and confirm the note.  We will sign the note and you can pick it up to give to the bus driver.  Bus drivers will not let you on a different bus or off at a different stop without a  note signed by the office.

     

    Compulsory Attendance Forms that are required for students to get their driver permit forms are available in the front office.  An information sheet has to be completed and signed by the parent or guardian and turned in at least 24 hours before the form is required.  The compulsory attendance form will only be completed the same day as requested in emergency situations.

    11th and 12th grade May 25 4-6pm 

    9th and 10th grade May 26 4-6pm

  • Beta Club Logo Beta Club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:15 a.m. in F3 (Mr. Harris' room).  

     

  • Chess Club Logo Chess Club meets every other Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in F-4. 

     

  • Creative Writing Logo Creative Writing Club meets every other Tuesday from 2:50-3:30 p.m. in N-2. 

  • FCA meets every Tuesday morning at 7:15 a.m. in the top of the gym.

  • FRC Logo FRC (First Robotics Competition) Rat Rod Robotics Team 5022 will meet every Tuesday at 3:30 in Mr. McAmis’s room/NA-6.

  • HOSA Logo HOSA meets Tuesdays in the Old Annex after school at 3pm.
