Balfour will be here on November 5th. They will present information about graduation supplies to seniors during 3rd period. On November 12th, they will return to take orders during lunch.

SENIORS! Mrs. Webb will be hosting a Civics Test Blitz today, March 16. If you have not retaken and passed your Civics Exam, plan to attend during 1st, 2nd, or 3rd block. Remember, your passing grade must be documented on your transcript before you can receive your diploma!
FCCLA is still collecting tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. We have taped small boxes to select vending machines throughout the halls for people to donate their tabs. We would like for you to encourage and remind your students about this ongoing drive.
Junior girls who are interested in Girls State need to see Ms. McCorkle about the application process as soon as possible.
Juniors: Tomorrow, March 17th is ACT day. The room assignments for testing have been posted on orange paper throughout the cafeteria and commons area. Please check these today to see where you are testing.
- You must make your own ride arrangement to school; buses will not be running.
- You need to arrive at the school 7:00 - 7:30 am and go to the cafeteria. A free hot breakfast will be served to you that day.
- You need to bring a picture ID, pencils, and a calculator, if you have your own.
- You may bring food and drink for a snack during the break only. You are not allowed to eat/drink during testing.
- You may bring your phone, but it must be turned off during testing and not used at all during the break.
- Testing should be over by 1:00 pm. After testing, you will be dismissed from campus. Make sure that you have a ride home.
Anyone interested in playing volleyball next year is invited to attend a Meet & Greet/Parent Night on Wednesday, March 18 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the DCHS cafeteria. Our new head coach will be introduced and will provide information to all those attending.
Anyone interested in trying out for cheerleading next year needs to see Ms. Yoakley in F-2 to pick up a packet.
Ms. McCorkle has received applications for the “Believing in Home Ownership” Scholarship. This is a $1000 scholarship and is due by March 31. See her for more details and an application.
STUDENTS: If you tell the administration that you have lost your ID badge and Mr. St. John prints a new one, you will be responsible for the cost of that badge regardless of whether or not you find your old ID badge. Please do not ask for a new ID badge unless you are certain you have lost the original one because you will have to pay for the replacement. Detention will be assigned for not wearing your ID badge. Also, if you owe money for an ID, please pay Mr. St. John or Mr. Plaisted ASAP. If you owe money and do not pay, we will place you on the student obligation list.
Beta Club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:15 a.m. in F3 (Mr. Harris' room).
Chess Club meets every other Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in F-4.
Creative Writing Club meets every other Tuesday from 2:50-3:30 p.m. in N-2.
FCA meets every Tuesday morning at 7:15 a.m. in the top of the gym.
FRC (First Robotics Competition) Rat Rod Robotics Team 5022 will meet every Tuesday at 3:30 in Mr. McAmis’s room/NA-6.
HOSA meets Tuesdays in the Old Annex after school at 3pm.
Spanish Honor Society will meet every other Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. in O-3.
Spanish Club will meet every other Tuesday after school in O-3.
Student Council meets every Wednesday @ 7:20 a.m. in the Library.
TSA (Technology Student Association) will meet every Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Mr. McAmis’ room/NA-6.
