Mrs. Kelli Hauldren
I am Mrs. Kelli Hauldren. I am going into my third year teaching at Daniel Boone High School. I teach Health Science, Anatomy & Physiology, and Clinical Medical Assistant certification class this year. I am looking forward to adding a new industry certification for my students this year and excited for the opportunities this will present them with.
I started in healthcare when I graduated from King University in 2010. I worked as a patient advocate at Johnson City Medical Center for a year before I decided I wanted to be in the clinical setting of healthcare. I made the decision to go back to school to do respiratory therapy at ETSU. I worked for 4 years as a respiratory therapist at Sycamore Shoals Hospital and Bristol Regional Medical Center before I started teaching. I worked in all areas of the hospital including emergency care and intensive care units.
I am excited about the future of healthcare and hope to inspire students to have the same outlook. Our classes provide opportunites for students to get a good introduction to healthcare and also pursue certification classes in order to secure a healthcare job after graduation.
Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) is our student organization aligned with the health science classes. We encourage all students to be a part of our club in order to gain some experience in leadership, community service, and networking with others with similar interest. We have students that compete in HOSA at the regional, state, and international level. Many schoalrship opportunties are available through this organization as well.
If you are interested in healthcare I hope you will join our classes and become a part of our program!
