    *Governor's School -If you are a 10th/11th grader, and are looking for a summer enrichment experience in an area of interest, then check out this link for more info: Governor's School. Governor's School is a wonderful opportunity for high-achieving students, and applications are now open! Any questions, please come see us, and we will give you more info! Students who have applied and been accepted in the past, have loved the experience!!! If you have more questions, please talk to your school counselor for more info.

    Need help finding resources?  Contact 2-1-1 is an organization assisting Northeast Tennessee.  They can help with abuse, loneliness, depression, temporary financial assistance, medical direction, support group information, crisis intervention, senior assurance calls, volunteer opportunities and much more.  They work with over 600 community agencies that can meet your needs. Families can contact 211 by Calling - (423) 246-2273, Texting – 898211, or Clicking - Contact211NETN.org. They are open Monday through Friday 9 am to 9 pm.  Voice messages left after hours will be returned the next business day. Services are free and confidential.

  • *BY NOV 1, 2022 - APPLY to the Tennessee Promise Scholarship Program

    *Starting OCT 1st, 2022 - FILE the 2023-24 FAFSA using 2021 tax records. The deadline to file FAFSA is March 1st, 2023...however, filing early can make you eligible for additional funds. 

    *Attend a mandatory meeting on December 13 @ 3:15. Failure to attend will result in the loss of the Tennessee Promise scholarship. The meeting will be at DBHS. 

    *FALL - Apply to community/technical college. DBHS College App day will be in the library all day on Sept. 22. Lots of colleges offer FREE admission during this week!!!

    *BETWEEN NOV 1, 2022 and BY JULY 1, 2023 - Complete and SUBMIT your first 8 hours of community service. Guidelines will be presented during the mandatory webinar.
