Welcome to Mrs. Herbert's Sixth Grade English Language Arts/Social Studies website!  On this website you will find helpful information to keep you informed about your child's education.  Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss your child's progress.  If you would like to meet at any time for a conference, please email me at herbertd@wcde.org, or call the school to schedule a time.  Mornings generally work best for me due to my busy schedule with my children, but I am happy to make any arrangements necessary!  I look forward to getting to know you and your child!

All students must have a book in English Language Arts class daily.  We will write about what we are reading daily, so this is very important.  I will speak to the student to remind them the first few times if forgotten.  A mark will be given if it continues.   Please remember that no toys, games, etc. should be brought to school.  If they are taken, they will be given back on the last day of school or a parent/guardian may come pick them up.  Water bottles (not aluminum) are allowed in class.  NO liquids other than water please.   Thanks for your help.

Parents- Please remember to come in to the office and sign up for Power School to be able to access your child's grades, attendance, and discipline records!  As soon as I enter grades, you will have access!  This is a great way to keep up with your child's progress at school.
