The Spring 2022 Technology Training is now online (see below). Classes will be a mix of in-person and online classes and are available to all staff of Washington County Schools. These will count toward your 2021-2022 CEUs. There are BIG changes this year!
DO NOT go to Asbury! The tech training lab at Asbury was repurposed for Alternative School. We are moving the lab to Boones Creek Elementary and hope to have it ready in time for summer training. In the meantime, in-person classes will be held at Central Office (downstairs) or Ridgeview Elementary. Be sure to check the class location on the schedule before you head out. It is color coded by location.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)! For classes at Central Office you need to bring your own laptop or Chromebook. Classes at Ridgeview are in a Chrome Box lab but you are welcome to BYOD if you choose to. I can't guarantee there will be enough outlets for everyone, so consider charging your device prior to arrival, if possible.
The classes are taught by Instructional Technologist, Carol Birkner, who has 22 years training experience with Washington County. A sign-in sheet will be provided to log your attendance and a certificate provided. If you have further questions or wish to suggest a training topic, email Carol at birknerc@wcde.org.
