AT HOME LEARNING...

  • By Wednesday March 19th, families will need to check in daily on our class webpage for updates to AT HOME LEARNING. There will be daily routine activities for you to complete as well as a choice board found in the "At Home Learning" tab. Please follow the instructions posted to try these activities/games with your child. These assignments will only take a few minutes each day to complete but are vital to keeping your kinder moving foward and on his/her way to first grade.

Also, I know some of you received a work packet and math workbook on Monday. Feel free to work on those when you have extra enrichment time. Those are now "supplemental" activities to use at home. Any little bit will help! :)

Feel free to use EPIC or ABC mouse to log on and locate books on your child's reading level. They are free resources to use if you don't have a lot of Kindergarten leveled books at home.

Lastly, I will continue to add some fun read aloud ideas and webpage links to try out at home on my Class Dojo page, so stay tuned.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contace me by email or Class Dojo. Thank you! Happy Learning!!! 📚📓

Baggie Books...

  • The students are required to read 25 books each year. I am asking each student to shoot for 30 books or more. Each student and their family has a reading log that needs to be completed each week on the weekly book. These books need to be read Monday-Thursday nights and sent back on Fridays with the log. I will be listening to them read and checking their progress throughout the year.

Also, each child is required to read independently in the classroom. This time will also be provided during Guided Reading time and Literacy Stations. At times, they will be asked to respond to their reading in their Reader's Notebook or on a graphic organizer.  By reading with your child as often as you can and asking them questions about their reading, you will promote and practice fluency and comprehension skills to support this reading journey.
