Welcome to Ms. Iglesias' Class!
AT HOME LEARNING...
MORE TO COME...
Feel free to use EPIC and ABC mouse to log on and locate books on your child's reading level. They are free resources to use if you don't have a lot of first grade leveled books at home.
To log in as a student, enter the class code eka2514.
I also have a free trial for my class to log onto IXL for Math and Reading/Language Arts content. I have highligted the material that students need to work on...some new and some is for review. It will track their progress and update me on how they are doing. It is great for all grade levels. If you need the login information and password again, please see Class Dojo.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contace me by email or Class Dojo. Thank you! Miss you guys! Happy Learning!!! 📚📓
The students are required to read 25 books each year. I am asking each student to shoot for 30 books or more. Each student and their family has a reading log that needs to be completed each week on the weekly book. I will be listening to them read and checking their progress throughout the year.
Also, each child is required to read independently in the classroom. This time will also be provided during Guided Reading time and Literacy Stations. At times, they will be asked to respond to their reading in their Reader's Notebook or on a graphic organizer. By reading with your child as often as you can and asking them questions about their reading, you will promote and practice fluency and comprehension skills to support this reading journey.
The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go. -Dr. Seuss
