Dear Students,

Hello and Welcome!

I am very excited to be your teacher this school year! I cannot wait to start reading and working with each and every one of you this year!

I am also excited to see how everyone will improve throughout the year. I cannot wait to spend the next year growing and experiencing new things with you. We are going to have a fantastic school year!

A Little About Me:

This is my fourth year as a teacher. I am excited to begin this year's journey with all of you! I have a master’s degree in teaching and my undergraduate degree is in English.

I grew up in Sulphur Springs, TN and have lived in that area my entire life. I graduated from Dobyns Bennett High School.  I completed my student teaching in Johnson City Schools and went to college at East Tennessee State University.

I have two siblings who are 14 and 15 years older than I am. Teaching is a family tradition. My grandfather was on the school board in Washington County, TN, three of my aunts are teachers, my mom is a teacher, and my sister is a school counselor at Grandview Elementary School.

I spend most of my free time reading, singing, and participating in my local community theatre. My favorite role that I’ve played on stage has to be Sarah from Guys and Dolls, although I do have a special fondness for Guenevere from Camelot.

A Few of My Favorite Things:

Food: Pizza or Mac and Cheese

Soft Drink: Coke Zero

Book: The Things They Carried and Black Beauty (childhood favorite)

Sports Team: Tennessee Titians

Fast Food: Chick-fil-a

Color: Purple

Candy: Anything with caramel in it: Milky Ways, Milk Duds, Etc.

Season: Fall

Hobbies: Singing, Reading, Theatre

Animal: Giraffe

Again, I am excited to begin this journey with all of you and cannot wait to see what this year brings us!

Warm regards,

Ms. Squibb
