April 3, 2020
Greetings families, As we continue to navigate the waters of school closure, we will periodically update class webpages with activities and websites that can be accessed from home. Please check out the "Daily Math and Reading" tab to the left of this page. You will find several FREE Reading and Math websites. This is a great time to work on those No Excuse Words, also found to the left of this page.
Check out this cool science video and see if you can build a house out of paper! https://mysteryscience.com/materials/mystery-5/materials-properties-engineering/262?code=NDEwMDY3MDQ&t=student
Reminder that we will have new instructional/fun packects that you can pick up at the school on Tuesday, April 7th. Pick up time will be from 9:00 am to noon. These will have art activities, a letter from adminstration, a letter from Ms. Honeycutt and me and instructional guidelines for the next upcoming weeks. They will also contain a math practice booklet and daily reading activities. This packet would be a great resource to have to further learning at home and provide daily lessons put together by Ms. Honeycutt and me. Check out my calendar for suggested daily activities. Also this week check out my new read alouds below.
Please check out the link below to hear a wonderful story from my favorite author Lester Laminack and my favorite story "Charlie the Ranch Dog." After reading you can respond to the books by writing what was your favorite or least favortie part of the book or who was your favorite or least favorite character in the book.
To keep up to date please check the district and school webpage periodically for current and detailed updates. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. Stay well!
