My name is Mrs. Dalynda Winstead. I am married to Randy Winstead. He is a retired teacher/coach. We have two loving daughters, Chantelle and Paiten. We have four grandchildren, Brielle and Michelle, Paxton and Blakely. Our daughters and grandchildren are full of life and the bright spot of our existence. I am currently teaching Second Grade and enjoy the opportunity to enrich, challenge, and develop a student's fullest potential to achieve his/her academic success.
I have a Bachelor's Degree from East Tennessee State University and a Masters Degree in BrainSMART-Brainbased learning, through Nova Southeastern University. I obtained an Ed.S degree through NSU in Instructional Leadership for Brainbased teaching and learning.
I taught Second grade for three years in the Hamblen County School System (2007-2010). I taught kindergarten at Boones Creek Elementary from 2010-2011 and moved to second grade in 2011. I am currently teaching 2nd grade at Boones Creek Elementary.
I love spending time with my family. I love hanging out with my grandchildren. We love to travel together and take vacations to the beach. We like to go hiking/biking on trails in the North Carolina or Virginia mountains and enjoy fishing/camping trips.
I love watching the VOLS (Football), I enjoy a good baseball game, and I love watching GREEN BAY or Carolina Panthers play in person and on TV.
School Community Involvement:
I enjoy tutoring students to bridge the gaps of learning that are challenging to students. I enjoy seeing my Owlets perform within their extra curricular activiites outside of their school setting. I enjoy working as the Teacher Leader as Girls On The Run Coach for Boones Creek Elementary 3rd - 6th grades girls. I am amazed as they engage in social skills activities and confident building lessons to encourage positive attitudes and accomplishments within their everyday life/experiences.
