• TENNESSEE PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP

  • Apply Now!

The Class of 2022 TNPromise application is now open.  Any student who wishes to become TNPromise eligible must complete the scholarship application online at tnpromise.gov by November 1, 2021.

Failure to complete a scholarship application will result in a student not being eligible to receive TNPromise.

The team meeting schedule will be printed in your students' handbooks, which students will receive at their assigned first meeting in November/December 2021.

    • Private/Alternative school applicants are assigned to attend the team meetings designated for the private/homeschool/alternative applicants in the county in which the institution is located.
    • Homeschool/GED applicants are assigned to attend the team meetings designated for the private/homeschool/alternative applicants in the county in which the student lives.
    • Attend a mandatory meeting coordinated by your assigned partnering organization. Please coordinate with your partnering organization to learn more about the mandatory meeting requirements.  Please visit tnAchieves to learn more about virtual meeting requirements.
    • Introduction to TN Promise, the scholarship application deadline and introduction to tnAchieves
    • Informational presentation on the 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the mandatory February 1, 2022 TNPromise FAFSA filing deadline FAFSA Application
    • Community service, which students can begin accruing on November 2, 2021. Community service deadlines can be found here. Deadline is July 1, 2022.

The second meeting in the spring will be mandatory for students to attend in order to remain TN Promise eligible. If a student has an excusable absence as highlighted in the policies, the student would be required to follow the excuse form policy.

Students who apply by 11/30/21 and meet the 2/1/22 TNPromise FAFSA completion deadline will be assigned a volunteer mentor, who will serve as an additional resource to the student during the transition from high school to college. Students will meet their mentor at the mandatory meeting.
