     ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

--No Red Ink. COM--Students have used this in my classroom and are familiar with how it works.  It is a fabulous resource to use while on break.  I have already assigned lessons and students will also be able to work on materials of their choice.

--www.benchmarkuniverse.com/wcde is also a great resource

---Remember to read EVERYDAY.  You can continue to log reading times and books.  Remember that there are lots of free online book checkouts from the local libraries as well as other sources for online books.

---Continue to write and journal.  This is a good time to reflect and write about things that interest you.  You may also continue to work on Informational Essays.  Research "works cited" pages, so that you will be prepared and ready to write your own.

If you have questions about anything or need materials, please feel free to contact me.  Stay safe and know that I will be thinking about all of my sweet students.

    Word work

Your child will be given words for the week on Monday.  There will be a different vocabulary focus each week.  A spelling contract will also be given to your child each Monday with assignments that should be completed at home and school and returned to school before the weekly word work test is given on Friday.
