Mrs. Leila Hubbard

My name is Leila Hubbard and I am honored to serve as assistant principal at Boones Creek Elementary School.  Previously, I served in Kingsport City Schools as an associate principal at Sevier and Robinson Middle Schools and have 13 years of experience teaching students with special needs at Dobyns-Bennett High School and Sevier Middle School. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from East Tennessee State University. I have over 20 years of experience in education. 

My family is a tremendous blessing to me. My husband, Danny and I have three wonderful children, all grown up now, and twin grandsons that we adore. Our nest is nearly empty with our youngest being 20 years old and finishing her final year of college. In my free time I enjoy reading, kayaking, and spending time with family.  

I am thankful to be able to serve the students, teachers, and families in my community and look forward to another year of learning with our outstanding teachers and students.  It is a joy to watch children grow and feel successful and I am so happy to be a part of this important work.
