Gray Community Chest
The Gray Community Chest scholarship application is for any Daniel Boone High School Senior that will be graduating in May of 2021 in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program. Each applicant shall have a GPA of 2.5 or greater, graduate with a career path in any of the CTE classes and shall be college eligible. This scholarship is $1000 and will be funded from the Gray Community Chest and Food City in Gray and will be dispersed in two equal payments per semester of the student's first year of college. Please understand that this is for one year only. Applications are located in the DBHS Counseling Office. Deadline to apply is April 23rd.
The Scott and Kim Verplank Foundation provides annually, renewable college scholarships to students beginning their undergraduate studies of up to $10,000 to be used toward tuition, student fees, and books. Scholarships are renewable for up to a maximum of four years for any one recipient based on completing the renewal requirements. Recipients are selected from a pool of applicants meeting the following criteria. Application deadline is April 15th. Students can apply online at http://verplankfoundation.com/scholarships/
- High School Senior
- Childhood diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes
- Successfully managing diabetes with proper medication, exercise and diet
- Commitment to education by maintaining in excess of a 3.0 grade point average
- Commitment to participating in athletics by actively participating on an organized team
- United States Citizen
- Completion of application with supporting documentation and endorsements
Intertech Foundation STEM Scholarship The Intertech Foundation focuses on young people's inspiration and the building of their science, engineering, and technology skills. If you have excelled in Math and Science and will be graduating from high school this spring, and plan to pursue college studies in computer science in the fall of 2021, consider applying. Intertech STEM scholarships are non-renewable, and are awarded for one year to a scholarship recipient in the amount of $2500 to a college-bound high school graduating applicant, starting higher education in the fall of the same year.
To be eligible, the student must possess:
Cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 or higher
An intent to study computer science
Graduating high school in the spring of 2021 and enrolling at or accepted to an accredited college or university within the US by the end of August, 2021
ScholarWeb is TN Tech's scholarship database & scholarship application system. The scholarship application is required to be considered for Tech Scholarships. Students may apply for Tennessee Tech University Scholarships after being admitted. To do so, students MUST log in to their Eagle Online account and then click on the "Student" tab and locate the scholarship option.
Rice University - The Rice Investment Scholarship
Award: Based on family income. Can be from full tuition, fees, room and board to half tuition
Eligibility: Students admitted to Rice University whose family income ranges from $200,000 and below.
