Mrs. Miller's Classroom

I am the K-4 SPED interventionist at Sulphur Springs School.  My daily schedule is working with your students through inclusion and during the RTI Block each day.

My teaching philosophy is

"Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or the same way!"

(Evans, 2011)

Inclusion:  I go into the General Education classroom and assit the teacher and your students during Reading and Math instruction and practice.  

RTI Block:  This is a designated time each day for each grade level where all students are placed in small groups based on their placement in Tier I, Tier II, or Tier III.  My students come to me to work on deficit areas through intervention.  We use research-based programs such as SPIRE, Sounds Sensible, Orton-Gillingham, MCI, and Do the Math during this time.
