Time really DOES fly when you're having fun! It makes me grin from ear to ear to talk about my job with others. My work truly is my passion. I grew up in this area and graduated from ETSU with a B.S. degree in Human Development and Learning w/ minors in Psychology and Communicative Disorders. I also have a Masters degree in Counseling from ETSU. I work with the Yearbook staff and the EPIC! Student Council. When I'm not working, I love to play with my dog (check out her picture below), hang out with friends, spend time with family, travel, cook, and try as many new things as possible. My favorite novels are "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Jane Eyre". My favorite year in school was 3rd grade. I had the most wonderfully spontaneous and loving teacher. I can't tell you how many afternoons I spent in her class after school learning long division (I finally got it!) My most difficult year in school was 7th grade. I hope this season of struggle allows me to better relate to my students. They are all so wonderful and unique!

Meet Scout! She is a whippet-husky mix and FULL of energy. Scout and I are currently in the process of getting her certified to visit schools, hospitals and nursing homes so she can share her love of licking faces and getting to know new folks. We'll see you walking around town soon!
