 Updated News & Information KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION for children entering Fall of 2013 Where: Lamar School Office Birth Date Requirement for Pre-K and Kindergarten Enrollment Due to early dates for pre-K and Kindergarten registration in many districts, the Tennessee Department of Education would like to make you aware of House Bill 0839/Senate Bill1022 (summary here), which was signed into law by Governor Haslam on April 8, 2013, and its impact on pre-K and Kindergarten enrollment birth date requirements for the next two school years. Changes would take effect in the 2013-14 school year. The impact of this law on enrollment in pre-K programs for the next two years is as follows:

*State accredited non-public pre-K programs are identified as a Category 1, 2, or 3 school. Attached (here) is a list of Category 1, 2 and 3 schools with pre-K programs meeting the criteria for being grandfathered into kindergarten in 2013-14 and 2014-15.

 Top Ten Test-Taking Tips for Students ParentConnect Is Here! Starting on January 30th, you can come by the school office and sign up for ParentConnect. ParentConnect will allow you to see your student's grades, attendance, discipline, and assignments. You will also receive emails for discipline incidents, absences, tardies, and missing or failed assignments if you so choose.
