Kindergarten registration and screening will be held for children entering any Washington County, TN School for the 2016-2017 school year Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2016, between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 pm and Wednesday morning, May 18, 2016, between the hours of 8:30 and 11:30 am. at the Asbury Family Resource Center. Parent or guardian needs to call (423) 434-4923 or email teachercenter@wcde.org for an appointment. Children must be 5 years old on or before August 15, 2016.
This is for children who HAVE NOT previously registered or screened to attend kindergarten this fall.


Washington County Health Department in collaboration with the Johnson Cityand Washington County School Systems is offering a late afternoon immunization clinic by appointment only for children in the 6th – 12th grades. This clinic is to assist in better preparing children entering the 7th grade and High School adolescents who plan on attending college in need of required immunizations such as the Tdap, Varicella (Chicken pox), MMR, Meningococcal, and other vaccines parents/guardians may request.

This clinic will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Washington County Health Department.  Call for your child’s appointment at (423) 975-7940.  If your child has Health Insurance, please bring that information with you to this appointment.  Also bring your child’s immunization history (card).

Gray School recently held their annual school-wide Science Fair.  Over 225 projects were completed in grades 4-8.  Blue ribbon winners from each grade level are eligible to advance to the Upper East TN Regional Science Fair to be held at ETSU on April 9th.
