Creative Literature at Sulphur Springs

C.L.A.S.S.

Sponsor: Pam Johnson

Our drama program at Sulphur Springs School called, C.L.A.S.S., began six years ago as an extra-curricular, after-school activity for students in grades four through eight. Combining the art of storytelling, reader's theater, and plays that are comedic or dramatic, the drama student learns pages of script, rehearses one to two times a week, and presents two outstanding performances a year. Our drama troupe consists of no more than 20 talented students. Field trips are taken throughout the year to area theaters so that C.L.A.S.S. drama students may learn theater etiquette and see acting techniques in a professional theater setting.
