At Daniel Boone High School, we are committed to ensuring that all students are successful.  One way in which we accomplish that goal is through Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI2). 

What is RTI2?

Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI2) is one form of support our school provides to all of our students.  Our primary focus is to provide additional supports for students who have yet to master reading and math standards.  We recognize that when students have not mastered grade level standards, we must provide additional instruction and intervention that is specific to the need and learning style of the students we serve. Student progress will be assessed and monitored to make decisions about further instruction and intervention.

 

RTI2 is a multi-step process where all students receive high quality curriculum and instruction in the regular education classroom. If students require additional educational support, the school provides research based interventions, strategies, methods, and even individualized instruction. 

The goal is for the RTI2 process to be more flexible and designed to meet the individualized needs of our students.
