David Crockett Students Compete at TSA State
Each year David Crockett High School's drafting instructor Guy McAmis takes a handful of TSA (Technology Student Association) members to compete at the state conference in Chattanooga.

Students prepare all year to participate in a multitude of competitions such as Vex Robotics, Architectural Renovation, Photographic Technology, Flight Endurance, and many more.
Five man team including Joseph Laws, Dylan Lovin, Jacob Long, Roger Rains, and Aaron Couch placed first in Vex Robotics and Aaron Hill placed second. Stewart Stidham also took first in Flight Endurance.
Through TSA students learn engineering and math principles, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, along with responsibility. Students are now preparing for Nationals which will be held in Orlando, Florida, this summer. Mr McAmis has promised his students that if they place first at nationals he will shave off his iconic moustache which he has had since his teens.
