Applicants to the AXA Achievement Community Scholarship must be United States citizens or legal residents; Current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States by Fall 2012. Enrollment at an accredited postsecondary institution outside of the United States will be considered on a case-by-case basis; Ambitious and motivated, as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community, or work activities. Selection of winners, known as AXA Achievers, is made by our nonprofit partner, Scholarship America. An AXA Achiever must demonstrate ambition and drive, determination to set and reach goals, respect for self, family and community, and ability to succeed in college. More than 300 students, to be known as AXA Achievers, will be selected to receive a $2,000 award. AFA Teens for Alzheimer's Awareness Scholarship |

Open to Seniors planning to enter a four-year accredited college or university. Students complete an autobiography and write a 1,200-1,500 word essay that answers the following questions:
- How has Alzheimer's disease changed or impacted your life?
- What have you learned about yourself, your family and/or your community in the face of coping with Alzheimer's disease?
AFA will award a $5,000 scholarship to the grand prize winner, a $500 award to first runner-up, and $250 to second runner-up. For information and an application visit www.afateens.org.

Each year Incight awards up to one hundred scholarships to students with disabilities, ranging in value from $500 to $2,500, who have demonstrated outstanding merit in giving back to the community and overcoming obstacles in order to pursue higher education.

In addition to providing financial support, Incight remains a valuable resource for our scholars throughout their college years, during the transition from high school to college, while seeking accommodations, and preparing students for post-graduate life entering the employment sector.

Scholarship recipients are matched with an eMentor and are provided with internship placement experience as well.

Applicants must have a documented disability and be attending college full time. Trade schools, community colleges and universities are included, as well as graduate programs.

The Niswonger Scholarship is designed to benefit both the recipient and the community in which he or she lives. Scholars are not limited to a particular college or area of study. They are required to participate in community building activities and leadership training. In exchange for each year of financial support, recipients pledge to return to their home communities for at least one year of service in the career of their choice. The hope is that by enabling these students to study their passions and by cultivating their leadership abilities, they will return to their homes to be leaders in their professions and an inspiration and catalyst for future change.Two seniors are nominated by the principal based on academics, leadership, extra-curricular activities and community service. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- Awards 50 four-year $20,000 scholarships and 200 four-year $10,000 scholarships for use at accredited colleges and universities within the US.
- Rewards leadership and excellence as exemplified through academic achievement and extracurricular activities, including commitment to community service.
- Available beiginning in August as an electronic application.
- Applications must be submitted by October 31 of the senior year to qualify.
APPLICANTS MUST BE:
- Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the US.
- US Citizens; US Nationals; US Permanent Residents; Temporary Residents (in a legalization program); Refugees; Asylees; Cuban-Haitian Entrants; or Humanitarian Paroles.
- Seniors anticipating completetion of a high school diploma during the academic year in which application is made.

ETSU Academic Performance Scholarship (APS) |

Guaranteed APS
Entering freshmen with an ACT score of 28 or SAT score of 1240 or higher and a GPA of 3.5 or higher will be offered a Guaranteed APS.
To be eligible students must complete the admissions application process, including submission of the application for admission, application fee, high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores by December 15.
Competitive APS
To be considered, applicants generally rank 1 or 2 in their graduating class or score a minimum ACT Composite of 26 (or 1170 SAT) while earning a minimum high school grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. The application deadline is February 15. Late applications will not be considered.
The APS award amount is $3000 annually ($1500 per semester). Recipients must maintain an overall and semester grade point average of 2.5, pass a minimum of 12 credits per semester, and fulfill a work requirement in order to renew the scholarship for subsequent terms.

Students wishing to apply for scholarships at NADC need to attend a Fall National Scholarship Testing Day. The dates are September 12 and October 10. Following testing, NADC will award one full tuition scholarship, one half tuition scholarship, three $8000 tuition scholarships, five $5000 tuition scholarships, and ten $3000 tuition scholarships to students entering during the summer of 2010.
