Marketing and Management Principles
Prerequisite: Junior or Senior

This class consists of: economic fundamentals, free enterprise system, human resources, sales promotion, selling, advertising, operations (cashiering), marketing math and marketing fundamentals. Marketing education is required for CO-OP students, but also available for students who do not CO-OP. CO-OP students can be released from school early. Credits will be awarded for CO-OP based on the number of hours they work. one credit equals ten hours of work per week during the school year. Three credits per year are maximum.
Entrepreneurship
Prerequisite: Marketing I

This course helps students gain an understanding of the business/marketing principles necessary to start and operate a business. They will develop an awareness of the opportunities for small business ownership and develop skills needed to open a small business. Students gain an awareness of knowledge needed in research, planning, operations, and regulations affecting small business. They will learn strategies of business management and marketing and the economic role of the entrepreneur in the market system. Students are encouraged to take Marketing I prior to enrolling in the Entrepreneurship course.
Travel & Tourism

The Travel and Tourism course provides the student with an understanding of one of the largest industries in the world. Specific applications include the evolution of the tourism industry, destination geography, airlines, international travel, cruising, travel, cruising, travel by rail, lodging, touring, and travel agencies.
CO-OP Marketing
Prerequisite: Junior or Senior
Credit: 2-3
To take CO-OP for one credit, students should work an average of ten hours per week and work for eight months of more. To take CO-OP for two credits, students should work and average of twenty hours per week and work for eight months or more. Students must work at their job during school hours while school is in session. A maximum of three credits per students is allowed each year. Students intending to CO-OP must have passed all Gateway exams and maintain a 90% attendance rate.
