Agriculture Mechanics

This course develops mechanical skills needed to perform work on the farm and in agriculture related businesses and services. Areas of study include arc and gas welding, metal work, woodworking, electricity, plumbing, machinery maintenance and repair, and operation of the school farm.
Forestry

This course deals with the management of forests, insect and disease control, tree identification, planting, growing, harvesting and marketing of trees, recreational uses of the forest, topographic mapping, and tree measurement. One major class goal is to be involved and interested in the forest. Another major class goal is to never look at a tree the same way again.
Greenhouse Management

This course applies proper management of a greenhouse and application of horticulture knowledge, including propagation, pesticide use, plant growth, watering, fertilizing, growing media, and proper greenhouse techniques. The first semester involves learning the information; the second semester involves growing and transplanting greenhouse crops for sale to the public.

This course provides the student with and extensive study of the Equine species, subjects matter include anatomy, care, handling and feeding.
Livestock Management

This course helps prepare students for further courses of study in animal science. The effective management of livestock requires and applicable knowledge of animal anatomy, nutrition, health genetics, facilities and the affects of livestock production on the environment. This course further prepares students to apply these principles.
Small Animal Care

This course contains objectives to prepare students for careers in managing and caring for specialty and pet animals. As our population raises more specialty animals and pets for production, careers that work with these animals in a safe environment will continue to expand.
Soil and Land Management

This course addresses the concerns dealing with soil conservation and appropriate use. Management of soil includes soil texture, depth, shape, and water management in practical.
Wildlife Management
Prerequisite: None
Credit: 1
This course is designed to increase a student's understanding of wildlife management, parks recreation, forest resources, water resources, ecology and related career opportunities. The nature trail is well utilized as a lab.
