CHRISTMAS AND THANKSGIVING 2012 A special thanks to the sponsors who helped to make Thanksgiving and Christmas happier for our families in need at our school. This year, approximately 200 children were sponsored for Christmas. In addition, approximately 35 food boxes were distributed to our families for Thanksgiving and approximately 50 food boxes were distributed for Christmas! A canned food drive was done in which the children brought in about 3,000 canned and boxed foods. We had about 85 - $15.00 Food City gift cards donated for the families to pick up some type of meat for their Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner! A lot of hard work goes in to making this happen at our school and is part of what we do for E.P.I.C! Special thanks to Toni Hodge and her children for helping with the canned food drive - I couldn't do it without her help! Special thanks to David Hammond for going with me and helping to make deliveries to the homes of families who did not have a car to pick their items up at school. Special thanks to the Student Council Members for their help with helping to box the canned foods. Churches, organizations, and individuals (lot of our parents) were sponsors for the children's Christmas! Below is a list of our sponsors - I hope I don't miss anybody for all are appreciated and we are very grateful for their help. If we didn't have our sponsors this special event would not happen.
